THE BRIEF
Recovery, migration and a tested handover
The existing WordPress and WooCommerce environment had an infected site and an older PHP setup. Website files, databases, media, protected downloads and business mailbox history all needed to move to a new Ubuntu VPS managed with Virtualmin.
The work combined a clean WordPress rebuild with application compatibility checks, mail migration and server configuration. The handover included website, email and SFTP checks, alongside practical migration and management notes.

The source environment feeds a recovery and migration process. The new Ubuntu VPS hosts the website stack and mail services. Both paths meet at validation and handover, including website, email, SFTP and checkout checks.

Rebuild the website environment
Rebuilt WordPress using clean core files, updated supported plugins and validated PHP 8.3 compatibility. Configured Apache, PHP-FPM and MariaDB, then transferred the site data, media and protected downloads.
Move business email with its history
Transferred mailboxes and existing messages. Configured forwarders, catch-all handling and mailbox quotas, and set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC for the new environment.
Validate the move and hand over
Configured HTTPS with automatic certificate renewal, firewall and SSH settings, SFTP access and local backups. Checked website functionality, email authentication and desktop mail behaviour. Investigated WooCommerce payment failures and confirmed a successful test purchase before final handover.
